Step 1 — Download and Install
Download the WAVE ID® Card Manager Utility. You will be prompted to accept the EULA before the download begins.
Extract the ZIP and run the installer on the Windows PC with the AIR ID Writer attached.
Step 2 — Connect the Writer
Launch the utility. On the Connect tab:

Check “Connect AIR ID Writer USB or RS232” This establishes communication with the writer device via USB or COM port. |

Verify the connection status The Error / Status field at bottom right must show “Ok 0”. If it shows an error, check the USB cable or COM port selection and retry. |
When connected, the Card Serial Number and Size/Books/Pages/Sectors fields populate automatically when a card is present.

Step 3 — Enter Credentials and Write
Navigate to the AIR ID Writer for Log-On tab (or AIR ID Writer Swipe Cards for swipe-based deployments).

Enter credential data (Step 1 in screenshot) Type the data to write into the Credential 1 field. Populate Credential 2 if required. Add Pre- or Post-keystrokes if your application needs key sequences around the credential output. |

Write to the card (Step 2 in screenshot) Place the Mifare Classic card flat over the AIR ID Writer. Click Write Credential. Do not remove the card until the status updates. |

Confirm success (Step 3 in screenshot) The Error / Status bar must read “Card writing completed successfully! Attempts 1”. If an error appears, re-center the card over the writer and retry. |
