Technical Guide LEGIC Reader VID/PID Information 6300 Processor — USB Device Identification for MFP Configuration |
Overview
LEGIC readers equipped with the 6300 processor use a different USB Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID) than standard rf IDEAS® readers. If you are deploying or upgrading to these reader models, you may need to update the VID/PID configuration on your Multi-Function Printer (MFP) or host system to ensure the device is recognized correctly.
VID/PID Reference
The table below shows the USB device identifiers for standard readers versus LEGIC readers with the 6300 processor:
|
|
VID |
PID |
|
Standard Readers |
0C27 |
3BFA |
|
LEGIC Readers (6300 Processor) |
0C27 |
3B4C |
Both reader types share the same Vendor ID (0C27). The Product ID differs: standard readers use 3BFA, while LEGIC 6300-based readers use 3B4C.
Important: MFP Configuration
|
⚠ Action Required When Upgrading Reader Models If you are replacing standard readers with LEGIC 6300-based readers, the PID registered on your MFP must be updated from 3BFA to 3B4C. Failure to update the PID will prevent the MFP from recognizing the new reader. Contact your MFP administrator or refer to your MFP vendor’s documentation for configuration steps. |
